Myanmar Japanese Dictionary is a free offline dictionary for Burmese and Japanese. Look up any word without internet, and see the romaji reading on every result — even on kanji.

WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
529 dictionary entries and 120 everyday phrases are built into the app. No connection, no mobile data, no waiting. On a train, on a construction site, or in a clinic, the dictionary is simply there.

SEARCH THE WAY YOU THINK
Type in kanji, hiragana, katakana, romaji, Burmese or English. The app works out which one you used and finds the word. Results appear as you type.

Both Zawgyi and Unicode Burmese are supported, so text you paste from any other app will still be found.

ROMAJI ON EVERYTHING
Every Japanese word shows its Latin reading, kanji included. Sentences are split into words — "watashi wa nihongo o benkyou shite imasu" — so you can read Japanese aloud long before you can read the characters.

PHRASEBOOK FOR REAL SITUATIONS
120 phrases across 13 categories: airport, trains, hotel, restaurant, shopping, emergency, health, work, polite Japanese (keigo) and business email.

Tap any phrase for Show mode. The Japanese fills the screen in large type and the brightness goes up, so you can simply hold up your phone and let the other person read it. No ads on that screen, ever.

There is also a Japanese to Burmese phrasebook, for Japanese speakers travelling to Myanmar.

SCAN TEXT WITH THE CAMERA
Photograph a menu, a road sign or a work instruction sheet. The app reads the Japanese and shows you which words it already knows the meaning of.
